“Friendship, Character, Justice, Education”
Born Proud, Raised Proud
On October 13, 1890, eleven law students at Cornell University formed a Law Fraternity, Delta Chi. In 1922, the Fraternity officially went “general,” thus opening its membership to men in all areas of study. In 1929, Delta Chi became the first fraternity to officially abolish hazing practices associated with “hell week.” Since its founding at Cornell, Delta Chi has grown to more than 120 chapters and colonies across the United States and Canada. Including ours here at Tarleton State which was founded on April 30, 1988 making it one of the longest-tenured fraternities on campus.
ΔΧ Convention Awards 2024
Recently our chapter had the privilege of attending the Miami Florida convention. In which the Tarleton chapter was able to win three awards. The first is the excellence in Assisting with a sound Education. The second award was the Raymond D. Halbert Award Certificate of Achievement. Finally, our esteemed “E” Dayne Kubat brought home the “E” key award which only fifteen men in the nation achieve.
“When I think back to joining Delta Chi nearly 30 years ago, I joined a chapter that was living our shared values and improving the quality of life for our members, our campus, and the community. We were leaders on campus and we participated in community service and philanthropy efforts.”
— Aaron Otto, Kansas State University, International President
